The Marathon Storage Tanks are designed as backup water supply to your main water heater. These tanks come with backup 4500 watt elements to keep even the backup water heated. These tanks are built with the same durability as the Marathon Water heaters, and come with the same lifetime tank warranty. The elements have a limited parts warranty for 6 years. The elements are thermally fused which means the elements will not kick on unless submerged in water. This helps extend the life of your element, and keep your tanks running efficiently.
