  • 1 Control Outlet – This outlet senses a 10% shift in current and works with sleep modes for your computers, televisions and other main devices.
  • 2 Constant Hot Outlets (standard) – These will always get power as long as the Smart Strip is turned on.
  • 4 Automatically Switched Outlets – When these outlets are off, they save energy by completely preventing the idle power draw from electronics that would normally be consuming power when in the off/standby state. If the Control Outlet is off, these are off too.
• Standard EMI/RFI 30 dB noise filtering.
• Recessed power switch will help avoid switching off accidentally.

Energy Savings

The SCG3 Smart Strip saves energy by “unplugging” devices when they aren’t in use. The power sent to the four automatically switched outlets is directly controlled by the state of the device in the control outlet. For example, you could plug in your computer to the control outlet, then all your peripheral devices (printer, scanner etc.) into the switched outlets. When you switch on your computer, your peripherals are switched on as well; in the same way, these devices would be turned off when your computer is shut down. This makes shutdown and startup of multiple devices fast, easy and complete.
